Facts about Skelager Kollegiet
Skelager Kollegiet was finished in the autumn of 1997 and was expanded in 2002 to hold 185 residents in 135 different rooms of single room flats, double room flats and rooms. For more information rent, room sizes and signing up for the waiting list please visit www.ungdomsboligaarhus.dk
The hall of residence is located at Skejbygårdsvej 1-11, in the northern part of Aarhus (8240 Risskov). You can reach the university by bike in approximately 15 minutes, and the centre of Aarhus in about 30 minutes.
The hall of residence is located in an area with many educational institutions, for instance Jysk Pædagogseminarium, Fysioterapeutskolen, Aarhus Købmandsskole and Aarhus Amtsgymnasium. Within walking distance you'll find grocery stores as Kvickly, Aldri, Føtex and Netto. You'll find specialized stores in Skejby Centret on Skelagervej 5-9 and in Veri Centret on Frijsenborgvej 5.
The facilities of the dormitory include a common room with television, soccer table, table tennis, board games and other things for indoor and outdoor activities which can be used by all residents.
Furthermore there is a possibility for the single resident of renting Skelager Kollegiet's Comunity House for larger events, birthday parties and so on. There is a laundry room in the basement of block 5 where you will also find facilities for repearing your bike.
Last but not least every apartment has its own storage room in the basement.
Skelagerkollegiet has its own private parking lot which can be used free of charge by all residents and their guests.
There is a locked bicycle shed for all the blocks in the dormitory, please place you bike in these sheds and not in the footpath.
